Work > Emerge

The more I frequent the forests, woods, and untouched landscapes of this area an experience of transformation begins. Within these wooded trails and off beaten path journey a shell falls off that I’ve acquired for an urban landscape and I become exposed. Developing new sight, sharper hearing, and vulnerable touch happens as I allow myself to be absorbed into my indigenous landscape.

Time passes before I recognize my own transformation. A journey of life and death, passages of rebirth, and only carrying the skeleton of what once was. Surely there are other friends in these forests. Sneaking around in their own skin, comfortable with what once was lost. This journey exposed the form, the courage, the truth, and the underbelly of what remains beyond our lifetime perception. We are corrected here; we are set straight by nature’s story.
